ACCEA 2011 Round

England & Wales (ACCEA) The deadline for applying for BACCH support for your ACCEA application has now past. To apply for RCPCH support please contact your College Regional Advisor.

You must submit your application through the ACCEA online system once it opens on at the end of September. Failure to submit your form online to ACCEA will result in your application being not considered by ACCEA. BACCH cannot submit your forms on your behalf and it is therefore your responsibility to ensure that you have submitted your application via the online system by 10 December.

ACCEA have made it clear that achievements cited in applications must be dated in order for them to be counted. If not, such achievements will be ignored. Focus only on achievements from the last five years, and date them all. ACCEA will also be looking for evidence that 5-year reviews have been completed with as much detail/effort as new applications – using supplementary forms if appropriate. The committee is now being asked whether a 5-year review shows the level of activity that would have won a new award at this level this year.

ACCEA is committed to making the Clinical Excellence Awards Scheme open and transparent. To achieve this, the Personal Statements of those consultants who were awarded Clinical Excellence Awards have now been published and are available in full from the ACCEA website.
