BACCH are calling for self nominations to the following position, further details below:

Deputy Academic Convenor (AGM 2011-AGM 2013, becoming Academic Convenor AGM 2013-AGM 2015)

The successful candidate will act as Deputy Academic Convenor until the AGM 2013. Key duties include: assisting the Academic Convenor in organising the programme of the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting, and the BACCH session at the RCPCH Spring meeting; contributing to the development of BACCH’s role in continuing professional development and taking on additional tasks as agreed between the deputy and academic convenor.

At the AGM2013, they will then become Academic Convenor for a further two years and will be responsible for the organisation of the programme for the BACCH ASM and session at the RCPCH Spring Meeting. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to attend the quarterly BACCH Executive meetings once Academic Convenor.

Most of the work of the Academic and Deputy Academic Convenor is done through email. This is a key and exciting role and candidates should have experience of organising CPD events, such as study days, regional meetings, etc.
