BACCH Membership

Who joins? Current membership now stands at approximately 1200. Membership is open to all doctors working in child health and other professionals working with children are welcome to join as affiliate members. Current membership includes consultant paediatricians (many of which are community paediatricians), staff and associate specialists, and specialist registrars. There are discounted rates for retired, trainee and affiliate (i.e. non-medical) members.

How do I join? New members are always welcome. Applications for membership received part way through the year, i.e. after 1st June, will be charged a pro rata fee for the remainder of the subscription year. In order to administrative costs, we require all applicants holding a UK current bank account to complete a direct debit mandate form

Ordinary members subscribing to the journal Child: Care, Health & Development pay their annual subscription fee in two installments, with 50% of the amount taken on 1st June, and the remaining amount taken on 1st December.

Tax Relief Members may wish to note that subscriptions paid to BACCH are allowable for tax relief under section 344 of the Income Tax (Earnings & Pensions) Act 2003.

Gift Aid Declaration By completing a Gift Aid Form, members can enable BACCH to reclaim tax on their subscriptions. Click here to download.

• Reduced delegate rates at the annual scientific meeting and regional meetings.
• Option to subscribe at a reduced rate to the bi-monthly journal Child: Care, Health and Development. Members can choose to receive online access only to the journal, or online access plus a print copy.

 

SACCH is the Scottish sub-group of BACCH, but is administered separately to enable Scottish members to hold their own meetings and respond to Scottish issues. Contact Louise Robertson for information.
