This course provides basic theoretical knowledge and practical guidance on conducting a community paediatric assessment of a child including developmental examination, assessment of a child with a disability, the current frameworks for Child Protection and Looked After Children and procedure and practice for working with school age children.
The course also covers, speech and language therapy, Autism, enuresis and DCD.
The course is open to Paediatric Specialist Registers, SHOs and new staff grade paediatricians.
The course runs twice a year in March and September will provide a good overall induction to working in community paediatrics.
Cost: £60 per day or £200 for all four days.
