Introduction

This course looks at the impact of violence on children and young people and the skills to address safeguarding issues that arise as a result.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Describe national themes of different forms of violence (such as gender-based violence and gang violence including where children and young people are perpetrators) which may have safeguarding implications 

• Recognise signs demonstrating impact of violence in children and young people within the clinical setting

• Outline how to support children and young people affected by violence including signposting to relevant organisations
