This one-day Court Skills Training Course will provide a detailed insight into Care Proceedings and Fact-Finding Hearings, including an overview of the Children Act 1989, and the role of the Local Authority and the NHS in Child Protection cases.
There will be a focus on the key legal principles including the Court process, and the statement writing exercise will strengthen good practice for writing professional evidence.
The course will conclude with a mock trial which will allow you to apply the knowledge and techniques you have learnt, giving you the skills and confidence you need to give evidence in Court. With thanks to guest speakers from New Court Chambers.
