This event is aimed at postgraduate doctors training in paediatrics who have existing experience in research. About the event
There will be two plenary sessions and six workshops throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to attend two workshops, one workshop in the morning session (11:00 - 12:30) and one workshop in the afternoon session (13:30 - 15:30).
The talks and workshops will focus on these key areas:
1. Research infrastructure
- How to put together a multi-centre research project
- Clinical trial units: their role, how they work and how to access their support
2. Research methodology
- Utilising large data sets to support research
- Epidemiological research
3. Research collaboration
- Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) in research
4. Research tools
- How to utilise Artificial Intelligence (AI): strengths, pitfalls and ethics
